THE GOLDEN HYDRANT

Situated at 20th and Church Sts. in San Francisco’s Mission District, this hydrant, manufactured by M. Greenberg’s Sons, is honored each year on April 18th for its role in the Great Earthquake of 1906. For the complete Golden Hydrant story see Bill Cereske’s article.
