William Powell and Myrna Loy star as Nick and Nora Charles in this 1939 MGM mystery – Another Thin Man. Watch the opening few minutes and you'll see Nick and Nora's luggage being loaded. Included, a crated fire hydrant, apparently a comfort for Asta, the Charles' dog that appeared in all six Thin Man movies. Regrettably, it doesn't appear in the rest of the movie so we are left to assume its become the hydrant on the cutting room floor. Too bad, it would have added a touch of hydrantological grace. |
